Technical Approach
  • Complete Database and User Interface of Representative NASA Datasets Stored in at Least 2 Unique Formats, Easily Readable by the University Community, along with:
    • Basic Knowledge of Application Domains
    • "Ground-Truth" Results
    • Specific Problems to be Solved, as Defined by Domain Scientists
Main Innovation(s)
  • Selection of Problems and Data Representative of NASA Applications and Challenges/ First NASA-centric Benchmark Image Database
  • "Friendly" Data Formats with Original Data Registered with Ground Truth Data
Infusion Potential
  • Current and Future NASA Science Imaging Missions, e.g.:
    • LDCM (Landsat Data Continuity Mission)
    • LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter)
    • HyspIRI (Hyperspectral InfraRed Imager)
